Hi All,

I have been looking to see if I can find any error logs with Colourspace but aside from the event viewer, which contained a couple, I can't find a log as such.

I am trying to troubleshoot connecting to an i1Pro (EFI ES-2000) I believe it should work and I can see the device in windows 11 when it is connected but in Colourspace I choose i1Pro 1/2 as a the probe and hit connect and it shows a red Error, then a few seconds then Disconnecting. I was hoping knowing what the error was might help.

A i3D3 connects just fine.

Thanks
Paul

I've edited the original post & title as an Eye-One was a very, very different colourimeter...

Yes, I did install the driver but I am not actually sure it did install (it's windows 11) as it flashed very quickly. And I can see in device manager they didn't install.

The USB name said eye-one. How weird. ES-2000 is written on it and under it says i1 Pro Rev E which I thought was okay...

I'm running windows 11 in parallels on a MacBook Pro.

I have managed to install on a windows 10 box. The installer didn't work but go to device manager and update driver and point it to the folder appeared to have installed it. However I really need it on the laptop as I can't move my workstation to the room I need it in!

So is there a windows 11 issue? Or have people managed to install under Win 11.

I could potentially create a windows 10 VM on the Mac and run both in there, if I knew that would work.

Sorry, I know this is all windows but just thinking others may have been here before me...

Cheers
Paul

As per the information provided within the website/forums, there are no valid drivers for the i1Pro range of probes under VMs/Windows ARM.

Ah, that's disappointing. I wasn't able to find any further information here on the forums (tried searching) and couldn't see anything on the website either.

So no luck running on a Mac then? I was going to try a Win 10 installation because really the issue that I was seeing in 11 was a certification issue with the xrite developer certs, which is most likely because of differences in Win 11 security. You don't think that's worth exploring then?

Sounds like it's the fact that it's an ARM based version and you can't get anything else on Apple Silicon. I am wondering whether a cloud or remote based windows session but using local USB so I can move the laptop around.

It's discussed/mentioned a few times.
For example:

I don't expect X-Rite to release any driver updates for the i1PRO2 since it's EOL.

Fiery stance about the end of official support for the i1Pro 2 by X-Rite in March 2025

The i1Pro 2 family of devices reached end of service January 1, 2025. The i1Pro 2 and i1iO 2 will no longer be supported in i1Profiler beginning January 1, 2026.

End of Service is the conclusion of the following services and activities:

· Certification & preventative maintenance / All Repair Services
· Technical support (phone and email)
· Sales of spare parts and accessories
· Driver support for future software releases

You can create meter profiles on a Windows system using a TPG, spectrophotometer, or colorimeter, and then export the meter files for import into the ARM system using Parallels/VMware Fusion.
