Hi everyone,

I've been running ColourspaceZRO since Dec 2023 on my ASUS ZenBook (Win 10 Pro 22H2). This week I tried to update the software on the exact same machine, but I'm stuck at the activation screen.

The license key auto-fills, but when I click Activate, I get the error: "Disabled network adapters found."

I haven't changed my hardware, but here is what I've tried so far with no luck:
- Checked Device Manager: All network adapters are enabled (WiFi & Bluetooth).
- Uninstalled network drivers and let Windows reinstall them.
- Performed a full "Network Reset" in Windows settings.
- Verified BIOS settings (nothing is disabled).
- Ran the software as Administrator.
- Reinstalled ColourspaceZRO (including deleting the config folder).

I'm out of ideas. Has anyone run into this or know a workaround?

Thanks!

You can use Device Manager -> Network Adapters -> Show hidden devices, or use Settings -> Network & internet -> Advanced network settings, to see what adapters have been disabled, and enable them.

Sorry to say this is an issue with your PC.
You will need to enable the deactivated network adapter.

Which one? all of them are enabled, the only one that is disconnected is the bluetooth device ( also tried to connect with with no luck ).

You will likely need to 'Show hidden devices'.
You can also type 'NCPA.cpl' in the start menu to open the Network Connections to see if anything is Disabled there - Disabled, not 'Not connected'.
If nothing is showing as Disabled, you likely have corrupt drivers, or a corrupt Windows installation.
Update all drivers as a first step.
But, this is a Windows issue that ColourSpace licensing is highlighting.
(The hardware configuration is required for licensing and if something is stopping that, licensing cannot be performed.)

Show hidden devices is enabled. Appears an activation bug or a corner case isn't take on account.

No - it will be a Windows/Driver issue as said.
It is not a ColourSpace issues in itself.

As you are the only person who has reported this issue, it most likely is a problem with your machine's current configuration. You can try the Windows Network Troubleshooter and/or Command Prompt commands like ipconfig, ping, and tracert to see if you actually do have a network adapter that isn't working despite what Device Manager says.

The version history (changelog) clearly shows that fixes have been implemented over time for similar matters. This proves issues do exist, so it is quite possible that my situation is simply a previously unidentified case.

No - there are no such issues in the present or recent releases.
If there were, there would be multiple reports of issues.
That historical issue was a long time back, and was a very obvious issue.

So what can I do? all my network devices are enabled, I've cleaned all my drivers, reinstalled them, check all things ...

Is it possible to ask for a license reset or something similar ? (not sure if this could work). Or maybe do a test or a report tool for send you more information,

Thanks in advance

The issue is with your PC - somewhere.
Potentially a corrupt Windows installation.
Have your tied a Windows install refresh?
And yes, you can obviously request a Deactivation.

No, I haven't reinstalled Windows.

A deactivacion / activation could help? Maybe an old network device could affect this? ( thinking in an vmware device, or wsl ).

Are you on a VM?
Then that could easily be causing the issue if the VM has had problems.
Do a Windows refresh - no need to do a full clean install (usually).
And no, a Deactivation would not help.
