Spectro averaging readings when doing probe matching

Trying to unlock the workflow for probe matching. For the moment I read the patches needed in the manufacturer software. What is consensus regarding the averaging of the readings? I know all high-end spectros (Jeti, CR) can do averaging. Are calibrators doing one single reading or they average? In my testing averaging increases dramatically the repeatability (obviously).

Hera does the averaging internally, in the probe. For the moment I set the Avg=100 and find out has amazing repeatability.
Is this the desired workflow?

Probe Matching built into ColourSpace ALWAYS averages 3 independent probe output readings, as per the User Guide.

This is TOTALLY separate to a probe's internal averaging, which all probes do.
(Usually defined by the probe's Integration Time.)

Thanks, for the moment I set Avg=100 in Iliad for the probe's internal averaging and running it from there to read the patches. Gives rock solid results.
I will explore in the future to reduce the Avg value to check how it influences the repeatability.

As I say, any internal probe averaging is totally separate to Probe Matching.
