Distance from the screen actually makes no real difference, so long as the measuring area fits within the screen.
You can calculate the measuring area based on the distance from the screen as the probe's viewing angle.
I prefer to use the actual position of the'viewer' if possible.
The rotating head should always be 'off' for and display measuring .
The distance from the screen will not affect the measured brightness, as the further back you go the larger the measured area becomes - so long as the measuring area fits within the screen, as mentioned above.
