Information on the workflow for calibration of TVlogic monitors with 3D LUT capability can be found here:

Do i get it right that all LVM models should be possible to calibrate?

I will have a go soon on LVM-173, LVM-242W, LVM-243W.

There is also one VFM-056-WP but i'm not sure how to go with that or if it is at all reasonable
to think of calibration with external lut box as TVlogic does not state it is capable os such thing.

LVM models they state all are with the dedicated app doable.

Do i get it right?

I also wonder were could i het this special cable for it ?

Hi Margus,

Some TVlogic displays can be calibrated - some can't.
We really do not have a definitive list on the different models.
Have you download the documentation?

http://www.lightillusion.com/registration_tvlogic.html

But, if the display can be calibrated with TVlogic's app there should be no problem with the LightSpace approach.

The cable you should be able to make with the information in the download.

Cheers,

Sorry, you are right.
I guess you will have to get the details for the cable from TVlogic.

Hello Everyone

I'm having an issue with a TVLogic LEM-250A

Calibrator and LutManager can't see the monitor via Serial.

I've been told by TVLogic UK support that I need to upgrade the driver of the Panel.
In order to to that, I took a USB A-A cable and plugged into my PC. But the PC automatically detected another driver for the Panel so now I can't upload it.

Does anyone knows how to update the correct driver as I can't find the unit under the Windows' Device Manager, or a way to bypass the problem with LightSpace?

I have a Klein 10A and i1 if this helps for the procedure.

Thanks

Hi Andrea - never seen that problem, so can't help I'm sorry to say.
TVlogic should be able to help I would think - but unfortunately their support is notoriously poor...

Yes

Unfortunately I discovered the quality of the support by myself.

Thanks, Steve.

Is there anyone to get in touch with for TVLogic support, not even TVLogic USA replied.

To be honest, we've given up trying to work with TVlogic...
They have proven to be next to impossible to deal with.

Btw. i have actually got super fast response from Paul Park(paul55 att tvlogic dott co dott kr)from TVLogic.

"The serial cable for calibration is a cable USB-to-RS232, which is easy to find.

It is USB-to-RS232 cable, so we also purchase that from a shop here, so we do not sell.
If TVC cannot find, I will arrange one for you."

So there is at least one person that responds.

I also got some schematics today that suggests that some tweaking is needed for the cables.

This document says if one pair of cables are not inverted monitor can not see computer.
Will have go with it tomorrow.

One of the models 242 has VGA type connector and needs to have connection type
changing cable also. WIll try to make one tomorrow.

I was wondering how it generally goes wit this monitor:

i will hook up test patterns with DVI and calibrate like this?

It seems like TVLogic Penta and so on have one calibration profile that applies to all
inputs and there are Eizo like monitors that have separate profiles for every input?

Hi again.

I got LVM-173 talking over the serial. It also supports LAN and USB as seen from the TVlogic Calibrator app.
Have not tested those yet.

Finding monitor and knowing it's model over serial was pretty much instant.

i1Display Pro is also supported + many others.

Sad part is that this model is not supported by the lut manager. At least this is what it states.
There is slight possibility com6 is wrong but it does not let to change it and auto mode does not see
the monitor.

Playing around with Calibrator app but flying blind there. Sad that lut app is not working.

Will play with other models also and report back how it goes.

Hi Margus,

Thanks for all the feedback.
Sounds like it is not very straight-forward though.
