I am wondering if it is ever appropriate to use 1886 as a LUT source vs 709 2.4G for a projector that is profiled with a black level of around 0.005 NITs or higher?
Projector destination profile is native gamut and native 2.2 gamma.
Sources would be blu-ray disc or SDR streaming.

As we have explained in the website, BT1886 is a flawed concept.

Avoid.
