The ColourSpace 1.0.0.1629 (22 April 2023) release has replaced the Calibrite/X-Rite integration with an open-source solution. including for ZRO.

The software will be able to connect as 'ColorChecker/i1D3' with the following colorimeters:

X-Rite i1Display Pro OEM

Calibrite ColorChecker Display / Calibrite ColorChecker Display Pro / Calibrite ColorChecker Display Plus

X-Rite ColorMunki Display / X-Rite i1Display Studio

X-Rite i1Display PRO Retail / X-Rite i1Display PRO Plus Retail

SpectraCAL C6 / C6-HDR / C6-HDR2000, or Portrait Displays C6-HDR2000

HP DreamColor / NEC SpectraSensor Pro / Quato Silver Haze 3

Wacom Color Manager / ASUS ProArt i1Display PRO

Correlation Files

This ColourSpace release also supports Spectral Correlation files with CVS file format.

The ColourSpace 1.0.0.1629 (22 April 2023) or newer, will only contain a single example WOLED Cor. File with the installation.

ColourSpace users have to download the new CVS files and paste them inside the 'i1D3 Support Files' folder within the ColourSpace installation folder.

NOTE: If you have upgraded to ColourSpace 1.0.0.1629 (22 April 2023) from an older release, you can delete, if you want, the contents of the 'i1D3 Support Files' folder before pasting the new files. (...for not having duplicates).

Download Link: ColorChecker-i1D3 Spectral CVS Files (01 May 2023)

The ZIP contains the following Spectral Correlation files:

(The users can rename the file names if they want to...)

Please extract those files and paste the CVS files into that folder:

The path after installation 'for all users':

C:\Program Files (x86)\Light Illusion\ColourSpace\i1d3 Support Files

or

The path after installation 'only for current user':

C:\Users\your-user-name\AppData\Local\Programs\Light Illusion\ColourSpace\i1d3 Support Files

Spectral Correlation Files Info

The Spectral Correlation files are simple CVS files, with a minimum of 3 lines, with each line being 401 floating point values.

The values need to be 380 to 780 nm in 1 nm increments, in Watts per Nm.

OMARDIS has converted the EDR files to the new CVS format.

Some old EDR files only covered 380-730nm, the data from 731 to 780 were obtained using linear extrapolation. (It's the recommended procedure according to the CIE)

Custom Spectral Correlation Files Info

It is important to note that the range of 380 to 780nm and the spacing of 1nm is mandatory.
If available data only goes to 730nm, pad with zeros.

For the user who wants to create their own CVS files with a spectro without 1nm resolution (i1PRO1/2/3), the spectral data must be interpolated to 1nm.

OMARDIS can help for converting new EDR or CCSS files to ColourSpace's CVS Correlation format; we are interested in adding to the ZIP new spectral correction files from hi-end spectro's, at this time. Please get in touch with Ted for more details.

Other Sources for Correlation Files

Spectral data for different displays can be accessed from different sources, such as via colorimetercorrections.

The data will need to be reformatted into the correct ColourSpace Correlation File format, which is simple to perform.
ColourSpace Correlation files are simple .csv files, with a minimum of 3 lines/rows, with each line being 401 floating point values.
The values need to be 380nm to 780nm in 1nm increments, in Watts per Nm. If available data only goes to 730nm, pad with zeros.
For conversion of spectral data that is not in 1nm increments ccss2edr can be used.

Note: Correlation files should not be relied on for calibration accuracy, as they apply a relative correction to the i1D3's underlying factory calibration, not an absolute correction, meaning the underlying accuracy of the i1D3 is not improved. This can be seen specifically with Y measurements.
The use of Probe Matching to a Spectro is always recommended, using ColourSpace's unique probe matching capabilities.

See the Correlation Files & Accuracy modal within the i1Display Pro/Calibrite page of the website.

Correlation Files for Calibrite/X-Rite Colorimeters (Update)

Replaced the 'single' JVC DLA-NX9 and the JVC DLA-NZ9 files with different filter laser (or lamp) combination

JVC DLA-NX9 (High Lamp - Filter Off)
JVC DLA-NX9 (High Lamp - Filter On)
JVC DLA-NX9 (Low Lamp - Filter Off)
JVC DLA-NX9 (Low Lamp - Filter On)

JVC DLA-NZ9 (High Laser - Filter Off)
JVC DLA-NZ9 (High Laser - Filter On)
JVC DLA-NZ9 (Low Laser - Filter Off)
JVC DLA-NZ9 (Low Laser - Filter On)
JVC DLA-NZ9 (Mid Laser - Filter Off)
JVC DLA-NZ9 (Mid Laser - Filter On)

KarlKlammer (Qalif Spectro) has provided those spectral correction data using the following setups and OMARDRIS has created the CVS files.

JVC DLA-NX9 projector with Stewart Cima Neve 110" screen. (more info)

JVC DLA-NZ9 projector with Stewart Cima Neve 110" screen. (more info)

Omarank_ind processed that raw data to compute 1nm bandwidth spectral data files.

Hi Ted - are there plans to include correlation files for the LG 32/27EP950-B (for i1D3)?

Maybe not PLANS as such, but if someone with a suitable high-end spectro creates such a measurement and submits it for conversion, it'll probably be included. Currently, it looks like a very small cadre of people are involved in providing these, and the majority were converted from existing EDR files.

I've been messing around with a couple of old i1D3 probes I've acquired over time, and stumbled across this program.
The Clone_i1D3 program specifically.
Anyone else tried it out?

For the "LG G3 Spectral Correction File from 77G3 (JETI 1501)" - Is this a "WBE" panel?

I can't find a reliable source that can state whether or not the G3/C3/etc model year of LG TVs universally uses WBE panels or not.

Reason I'm asking is that I have an LG C2, which I know is using a WBE panel thanks to a service menu check.

I had thought that perhaps a JETI 1501 operating in its native or HiRes 2nm mode would be capable of generating a better correlation file than my i1Pro3 (out of the box operates in 10nm mode, though I believe there is a 5nm mode that some software can access, a function that's not officially supported....), even if that correlation was taken off of a different panel than mine.

G3 or C3 are using a WBE panel.

However, the G3 has an additional MLA layer, but the Its a WBE panel, and so is the C3. The G3 has SPD should be the same between G3 and C3.

JETI 1501 has 4.5 nm; it doesn't have HighRes mode.

If you want to convert the 1501 to 1501 HiRes, you have to send the meter to the factory and pay about 4K euros.

For the G3 correction, as you can see, its used the JETI 1501, not the JETI 1501 HiRes.

JETI 1501 HiRes has 2nm.

i1PRO3 is 10nm, and you can't trust the 3.3 nm mode that X-Rite does not support.

It's unknown if the 3.3 mode (not an official mode) will be more accurate than the 10nm.

The previous discussion with X-Rite indicated it would cause measurement errors, especially with wide-gamut displays.

It's why X-Rite doesn't offer a high-res option themselves, so be very careful if you use that mode.

But there is no way to see if you get any improvement with the 3.3nm unless you verify and compare with a high-end 5nm spectro.
