Do make sure you save copies of your previous profiles, patch lists, meter matching files, and any custom colorspaces you have created BEFORE uninstalling your old ColourSpace version. Uninstalling it can wipe those as well. These can be found in
C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\ColourSpace\ subfolders ColourSpaces, MCGD, and Presets.

No, user files are not removed when you uninstall.
Only the software is.
And the location for all user files is the same regardless where/for who you install, as the Installation notes state.

As I explained to Ted on another forum, the deletion of all of those files has absolutely happened twice on my system, once when I uninstalled/reinstalled the previous update to resolve the Win32 folder issue, and again with the uninstall of that previous build today. It's likely something to do with my computer, but that is the only hands-on experience I have.

Hi Steve,

Just wanted to share some feedback after moving to the new x64 build.
The good news first: LUT generation is now incredibly fast. On my MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) running ColourSpace under Parallels, a full 256³ LUT now generates in under 5 seconds with the new x64 variant. That's a huge improvement — really impressive work, big thanks for that. It's made the closed-loop workflow noticeably snappier.
The issue: The new 1D+3D Split doesn't work for me. As soon as I try to use it, ColourSpace goes to "Not Responding" in Windows and I have to force-quit. Reproducible every time on this setup.

Setup for reference:

Host: MacBook Pro M4 Pro
Windows via Parallels
ColourSpace HTL/HTP, latest x64 build

Happy to provide logs or run any specific test case if that helps track it down.

EDIT: The 256 Cube Upload for the Envy is broken the Complete Picture is Red thats not happening with the 65 Cube Option.

The Uninstall function has no knowledge of the user files location.
You are no confusing with the i1d3 Support Files are you?
They will be deleted, as they live in the software installation location by default, unless you have changed the installation location for them via the ENV. Variable.

The Split function can take a long time depending on the complexity of the LUT, it's size, etc.
The Not Responding just means it is processing - so wait...
(Start with a 33^3 LUT Gen. size, and work-up in steps to see if there is a break-point for your PC configuration on time taken)

I have tested the madVR 256 LUT Upload with madVR HTPC and no issue.
So you will need to provide a lot more information on that.

65^3 Split works in no time 256^3 Split seems to much at least for my setup.

Same problem like in the past the fact that HTPC works doesn't mean anything unfortunately. The Envy Upload is not working properly.

What Info do you need? 65 Legacy Upload of the same lut works like a charm 256 upload results in a red / cyan image.

The last time madVR HTPC worked and Envy didn't it was an Envy issue.
And we have not changed anything with the madVR LUT upload.
(Not that means a bug hasn't crept in.)
Has Envy change anything?
You will need to test HTPC as well as Envy.

Also test Win32 vs x64 ColourSpace.
Maybe Envy has an issue with its x64 operation/drivers?

And a 256^3 LUT would take a very, very long time, as it will be approx. 100x the resources needed for a 65^3 LUT, and on top will use a lot of memory so there will be a lot of additional disc caching of memory going on. That will add a lot of additional processing time.

I'm afraid not. All the user files vanished along with the I1D3 Support Files. Luckily, I do weekly backups of my system and was able to recover all the files after the first occurrence, and on the second I copied them to another location on the drive before the uninstall. I strongly suspect it's something particular about my system and have slightly reworded my original post. You may delete it if you wish.

Sounds like some really strange configuration on your PC, as there is no link between the software installation files and the User data.

No way we can replicate any such happening.
