A quick search of the Forums shows this thread.
There is also a link to this on the 1iD3 User Guided page of the website.

With the ASUS have you followed the User Guide, and are running ColourSpace as Admin?
And are you using the correct USB slot, etc?

Hey Steve,

Yes, the program is administrator, Ive used all the ports of the monitor, all give same error. actually when im not in adminstrator it gives me Connection failed to Asus., when im in administrator, it gives me failed_proartM_capPreGammaFunc() Unknown error, even if the monitor is not connected. Also i just did a reset of the monitor. I feel as though Colourspace is not being able to connect to the devices somehow, as in maybe being blocked, because its both the colorimeter and the screen. also i restarted the Pc on start up i dont have any programs starting up that may create conflict.

If you cannot connect to the i1D3 you definitely have something running that is causing that issue.
The ASUS issue may/may not be related.
But the error is stating there is a USB Coms issue.
I have a PA32DC on my desk, and ColourSpace connects with no issue.

Steve
do you know of a way to trouble shoot to find conflicting drivers/programs for the ID13?

The display is not connecting at all, ive done this process before and it was very easy, this time nothing is connecting

also, is it ok to uninstall colourspace and reinstall, just incase the antivirus maybe did something to the install?

If that had happened, ColourSpace would not open.
But yes, you can do that no problem.
As for what can stop connection, see the list of possibilities on the link above.

Deactivate ColourSpace before, as the new install will appear as a different PC.

Not yet, Im doing a fresh install hopefully tomorrow after a project finishes up. im going to install the drivers for the pc first, then colourspace, make sure everything is connecting and all is good, the install programs one by one seeing if any of them create the issues we were talking about. This way ill know exactly what it might be causing the conflict.

Be aware the Windows will often automatically install 3rd party programs for Windows Dynamic Lighting without warning if such hardware is linked/installed on the PC...

Hi Steve, I did a fresh install today of windows and ColourSpace Worked perfectly. I have one question, i searched the forums and i didnt find an exact answer on how to correctly calibrate my PA32DC for 0.03 Black level as i once read that you recommend for OLEDs. Where would this be done, would i create a new standard of Rec709 with 0.03 Black level and create a LUT based on that?
