Mac Resolve vs VMWare (same system) - connected, but no patches output

Hello everyone. I am trying to calibrate my grading monitor using DaVinci Resolve as a TPG.
This is my first time using a calibration software such as ColourSpace and any help will be appreciated.

Setup is a Mac Studio M2 Pro running Resolve 20.2.2 with clear video signal through a BMD Ultrastudio 4K Mini.

ColourSpace runs on Windows 11 through VMWare on the same Mac system. i1D3 probe connected. Network Server accepting client connections. All firewalls are off.

Resolve Monitor Calibration successfully connected to Light Illusion. Timeline has a few clips and monitor output gets interrupted by a black screen for as long as Resolve is connected to ColourSpace, which I can verify on the Ultrastudio LCD display.

However, neither the LCD nor the grading monitor mimic anything out of Manual Measurements or Characterization. Just the black screen.

What am I missing?

My search for this occurrence on the forums turned up situations that I found similar but not quite and at further points from the one that I'm facing, so I guess I got stuck early on, but even getting to this point has taken quite a bit of troubleshooting, so I hope it's okay that I ask this here.

Thank you all.

Maybe a setting in ColourSpace that Resolve cannot do - Resolve has bugs that BMD have never fixed as per the User Guide.
