FSI LM-2461W Calibration Issue

Hi Steve,

Not sure if I should ask the question here or from someone at Flanders. I just did a firmware update to the latest version on my FSI LM-2461W before doing a display characterization for calibration. I've had the monitor for almost 3 years now.

I did a 15pt profiling instead of the usual 17pt or 21pt as I use an I1 Pro2 which can take forever to get a 17pt one done due to my busy schedule. Once I created the LUT (Rec709) and loaded it to the LM-2461W and ran a quickprofile grayscale test to see if the LUT is working as it should, it just gives me a fairly off result. I loaded the same LUT on LS CMS bypassing the calibration 3D LUT on FSI and did the same test. Then the results look much better. I didn't even bother with a proper quick profile as I did the grayscale test a few times and was getting similar results.

I've emailed you the BCS files from LS to have a look. Any idea's why this maybe happening? Should I contact FSI to inquire? It seems as if the internal colour engine of my FSI monitor is acting up. Not quite sure if the problem was there before the firmware upgrade though.

Any thoughts would help.

Cheers.

I do think that is a question for FSI, as the Verification within LightSpace is accurate...
I'll have a look at the .bcs profile data.

Thanks Steve. I'll contact FSI once I get a confirmation from you.
