When released, the new Fujifilm IS-Mini LUT Box will be integrated with LightSpace CMS operation.

This will enable the LUT box to be used for accurate display calibration, as well as on-set camera previews, etc.

Fujifilm have adopted LightSpace CMS as the LUT and Calibration System of choice for their IS-Mini LUT Box. This direct interface enables LightSpace CMS to be used to accurately profile and calibrate any displays via the IS-Mini LUT Box.

All the integration for the IS-Mini is now complete, and is included in the recent LightSpace updates.

The integration of LightSpace CMS with the IS-Mini enables direct closed-loop calibration, with the required calibration colour patches being displayed on demand from LightSpace CMS via the IS-Mini, using the IS-Mini as a patch generator.

This makes the IS-Mini one of the best functioning, and cheapest LUT box and Patch Generators available!

Hi Steve,
Is it posible with IS-mini to feed in one HDSDI signal, apply two different calibration LUTs and output one on HDSDI out and another on HDMI out? Or should in this case be used two IS-mini LUT boxes? Does IS-mini apply just one LUT at once and than image is outputted on both sdi and hdmi with the same LUT?

Cheers!

Hi Teo,
Nope, it can only have one LUT active at any one time.

So yes, unfortunately two boxes would be required.

Hope that makes sense.

Steve,

Just got my new license & downloaded 6.6.6.2031 - seems to talk to my KT10-A and IS-mini fine with one problem; I have followed the integration guise for the IS-mini and from the calibration interface all seems well in when using Measurement>Measure. The patch on the Windows display shows the R,G,B values as selected from the drop-down and the output of the Fuji follows and I can measure what is coming back from the monitor on a colour-by-colour basis; at 255,255,255 I get 95Cd/m2 (from this monitor) and reasonable x & y values (bit blue, but this is why I've got a monitor LUT!). However, when I use Quick Profiling>Profile the colour patch on the Windows desktop cycles through the colours as you'd expect but the o/p of the Fuji is maybe 1% of the luminance compared to the measure procedure. As far as I (and the Klein) can tell the colours are correct but the Y is super-low.

Any advice?

Phil.

Hi Phil,
Makes no sense at all...
There is no difference between the 'Manual' patches and the 'Profile' patches...
Never seen anything like that

I assume you have no 'Active LUT' selected within LightSpace, or within the IS-mini?

Phil, good news!
Although I've tested all IS-mini firmware versions and have not seen such a problem...

Weird!
