EIZO ColorEdge monitors with 3D LUT capability have been integrated with LightSpace CMS, providing the best possible calibration.
The integration enables the Eizo monitor to act as its own patch generator, providing perfect closed-loop calibration with LightSpace.

EIZO monitors with 3D LUT capability are:

CG222W, CG232W, CG242W, CG243W, CG223W, CG245W, CG275W, CG246, CG276

and the new CG247, and CG277

In the end of the process does this mean user is able to upload LUT to the Eizo monitor ?

Yep - the LUT can be uploaded directly from LightSpace.

I'm thinking about purchasing an Eizo CG246... can I accurately calibrate it to Rec. 709 for monitoring video on set?

I think I would go from camera via SDI to Ultrastudio Express to Monitor via HDMI... or is there a better method?

Ideally I would like to monitor it in AdobeRGB or sRGB for the stills portion of the shoot, and then change it to Rec.709 for the video portion. Is this possible?

Rec709 and sRGB are basically exactly the same...
The different is sRGB is gamma 2.2, and Rec709 2.4, .

And with LightSpace CMS the CG246 will calibrate as accurately as possible, and you will be able to upload different LUTs for different looks, etc.

Should work well for on-set monitoring, using any good SDI to HDMI converter.

What would be the acceptable precision level you may want to get from Eizo ?

Would 97% be any good?

That should be fine.

I'm experimenting with this a bit and it seems to be working great, but I'm getting an "Out of sync" error sometimes when I first plug everything in, I want to say it's -551 or something like that. (Of course it didn't happen right now when I tried to find it). This is with a CG275W, macbook pro on parallels with an i1d pro. It seems to still work fine though, but I'm a little unsure about the syncing error. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Sounds like a USB/ComsPort/Network communication error, possible because of some type of interrupt...

Make suer there is no other network traffic happening - internet, etc.

And if you can provide more info that will help.

I had this error also but i think it may be from the probe.

Did not see exact correlation why it happened.

Great, I'll turning off all network traffic and I'll let you know if I get it again.

Does rec709 calibration require purchase of lightspace, or is it built into the monitor?

For accuracy you will need LightSpace CMS...

There is no guarantee with any 'out of the box' calibration.
