The drift graph shows the drift in absolute values (nits) as difference from average of all patches. Since this value depends on the luminance of the drift pattern, would't it be nice to show the drift values also relative to the average of all patches.

Umm, not at all sure what you mean.
Drift can only ever be relative to the actual value of the Drift patches used.
What that patch value is, is irrelevant to the Drift graph.

I'm sorry I didn't express myself clearly (English isn't my native language).
What I mean is this: the higher the brightness of the drift pattern, the greater the difference between the individual measured drift value and the average of all drift values. So you actually need to know the brightness of the drift pattern to interpret the graph correctly. (Example: A drift value of one nit is (presumably) acceptable if the brightness of the drift pattern is 1,000 nits, but it's dramatic if the drift pattern is only 10 nits bright.
Now, the difference between the individual drift value and the mean of all drift values is displayed (individual measurement value – mean), and the suggestion is to alternatively display the difference between the individual drift value and the mean divided by the mean; (individual measurement value – mean value) / mean value, which in the above example would result in 0.1% in one case and 10% in the other.

I would have to assume the user knows what drift patch value he/she set, and read the graph accordingly.
But point taken.
It is a WIBNI.
