I am currently running ColourSpace version 2.0.0.2391 and am experiencing a few integration issues with the newly acquired ASUS PA27USD display. I would appreciate any advice or technical insight into potential causes and solutions.
Below are the details of the issues encountered:
1. Connection/Disconnection Delays and Display OSD Lockup
Issue: Connecting to and disconnecting from the ASUS PA27USD takes a significantly longer time compared to other models.
Symptom: During connection or disconnection, ColourSpace occasionally becomes unresponsive (hangs). When this occurs, the display's physical OSD control interface gets completely frozen—none of the monitor buttons, including the Power button, respond.
Workaround: The only way to restore the monitor to normal operation is to cycle the main hardware power switch on the display.
2. LUT Upload "Load Error" Warning & Prolonged Upload Duration
Issue: Whenever a LUT is uploaded to the PA27USD, ColourSpace throws a "Load Error" message upon completion.
Observation: Despite the error popup, the LUT actually uploads correctly, and subsequent verification measurements confirm the profile is accurately applied. However, the upload process takes approximately 5 to 6 minutes to complete.
Comparison: For context, uploading a LUT to my ASUS PA32UCR-K takes around 80 seconds. I would like to confirm whether a 5 to 6-minute duration is expected for the PA27USD hardware or if this indicates a communication timeout issue.
3. Built-in Colorimeter Connection Failure
Issue: The built-in sensor on the PA27USD cannot be connected via ColourSpace.
Symptom: Attempting to connect to the internal probe yields an "Error" prompt within ColourSpace.
Verification: I have tested the internal probe using the OEM manufacturer software (ASUS ProArt Calibration), and the hardware mechanism and sensor operate normally there.
Could you please help investigate if these behaviors might stem from current Direct Display Control protocol implementation, firmware handshaking timing, or if there is a recommended diagnostic log I can provide?
