SPD2Matrix - Correlation Files to Matrix Conversion

The SPD2Matrix result is correct.
I have checked the Corr. File values.
And if the user that generated the Corr. File were to have recorded the Yxy vales from the spectro at that time the values would be those that SPD2Matrix uses.
So it seems the Corr. File is not correct for your projector.
And as the NX7 has a different lens setup to the NX9 that is not unexpected.

However, it is worth saying that such issues will likely be true of any lamp projector, as the spectrum changes a lot with lamp age.
So no Corr. File will ever really work accurately.

Edit to add: It is worth saying that when there is a mismatch between displays, as in this case, it is likely the Corr. File will degrade more gently, due to the way the process works - but it will still be wrong.
So using SPD2Matrix to 'check' for a Corr. File mismatch actually makes some sense.

So to clarify my understanding, besides the possible optical differences, bulb decay can really affect the correlation. Also, using a correlation file shows less divergence than the matrix, which will show the mismatch more blatantly and is therefore a good xcheck of the correlation file's accuracy.

The good news, I guess, is that my Pro 2 spectro is accurate with bulb based projectors, so I can use it in those cases. The correlation files and subsequent matrix conversions would remain fairly accurate for properly matched panels and laser projectors, as they have less issues with decaying light sources.

The projector actually has a very narrow spectral bandwidth, so I would not be certain of the i1Pro's accuracy, being 10nm.

But, it is likely better than any Corr. File, regardless how it is applied.
