We have recently been asked by a number of ex-Calman users how to use the Probe Matching data from Calman in ColourSpace.
Unfortunately, Calman just shows the simple FCMM 3x3 matrix values calculated from the original probe readings.
There is no way to actually see or recover the original Probe Match data
But, it is possible 'RIP' the original probe data from Calman, or from any other calibration system that doesn't provide access to the original probe matching measurement data.
Using the alternative calibration system with the probe match matrix, use the Colorimeter on the display the matrix was generated for.
Using ColourSpace, put up the standard Probe Matching RGBW patches, and using the alterative calibration system measure the ColourSpace RGBW patches WITHOUT the matrix enabled, and record the Yxy values for each patch.
Then do the same WITH the matrix enabled.
Enter the Yxy values into ColourSpace's Probe Matching menu.
The values WITH the matrix active are the References Probe values.
The values WITHOUT the matrix active are the Active Probe values.
