I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but after Calman's announcement of their reduced license structure I had a look at what it actually means.
And wow, it's confusing.

The Home license has basically not changed.
But the Studio and Ultimate licenses have really difficult to understand differences/limitations.

For example, Studio can use Admesy colorimeters, but not Admesy Spectros.
Studio can use CR-100 and CR-250, but not CR-300.
Studio can use the Jeti 1211, 1201, 1501, and 1511, but not the 2501.
And more...

And with similar weird differences/limitation on displays, tpgs, etc.

I guess they are trying to force users to upgrade to Ultimate...

I confess, I was a tad confused...
They seem to be trying to say if the hardware is what they call 'lab grade', you will need Ultimate.
But some of it is very confusing, such as your first line regarding Admesy, with Colourimeters vs. Spectros.
And they have not separated the HiRes Jeti's from the normal ones... which make a mockery of the 'lab grade' statement.

Oh - I just realised...
It also means that Calman Video Pro users that are 'upgraded' to Studio license will then have to pay even more for their yearly support fees...

I gave up on them long ago...

I agree - I have not paid for a Calman update/support in some years.
So why do others seem to still pay for what is (IMHO) the poor capabilities of Calman?
I am confused.
