Upgrade to CR-100 or CR-250 first?

Hi all,

I currently have an i1D3 colorimeter and i1pro3 spectro, and I intend to eventually upgrade to a CR-100 and CR-250 (or comparably-priced quality probes if others are recommended). I currently only have the budget to upgrade to one of the probes at this time. Should I get a CR100 and pair it with my i1pro3 first, or should I go with the CR250 and pair it with my i1D3? The main displays I'll use it on are QD OLED and WOLED. Also, how often does the CR250 need to be recalibrated with light usage? Thank you!

The logical first step would be to get a good spectro to pair with your 1iD3 colourimeter.
Spectros should be recertified every 2 or three years, based on usage.

"Recalibration/Re-certification
The CR-250RH or CR-250 should be factory recalibrated/re-certified every year to two years, depending on usage and storage, or when obvious issue are found (after physical shock to the probe for example)."

Also, is a spectro with a 4nm spectral bandwidth sufficient to measure a QD OLED or is a 2nm spectro required? Thanks!

Any bandwidth spectro can be used.
But the accuracy of the result will always be more accurate with a narrow bandwidth.
