TV Level Calibration LUT

Hi all, the unity null LUT that comes with Colourspace is Full range levels, from what I can tell. Is there a way I can create a unity null LUT in legal TV level range? I thought maybe I could use the LUT generation tool with source as Null and Destination as Rec709, but don't think that does it.

I ask because our SmallHD 24" monitor has to use a calibration LUT and we only shoot in legal range video. I'm trying to upload a legal range null LUT to the monitor, then do a profile off of that. Thank you for any guidance.

You have to understand how LUTs are used in different signal range workflows.
There is usually no different with the LUT, as in most 'normal' usage the incoming signal is 0-1 range, with no actual understanding of TV legal or Data range.

When a LUT does need to be rescaled, you can use the Video Scale options in LUT Adjustment.
To make a new Null LUT you just use 'New' in LUT Management.

Thanks Steve. I wasn't sure, as part of the menu process on the SmallHD is to choose Legal vs Full, then choose the LUT on the SD card. The whites are clipping in Colourspace when I do a Grey Ramp so I thought maybe it had to do with the range of the LUT. I adjusted contrast setting and backlight, to no avail. Thanks

That really means you need to ask SmallHD what the required LUT scaling is.
Otherwise you may be compensating for an error elsewhere in the signal path.
