I have been experimenting the last few weeks with profiling using LightSpace DPS. I have created a 3D LUT for ITU-R BT.1886 using DisplayCal for a Dell UP2516D monitor (using RG Phosphor filter) and when I profile in LightSpace DPS (again using RG phosphor) I get a decent grey scale delta-e (<2), but my gamut coverage is ~93%. Without the LUT I get 99.3% gamut coverage in LightSpace but, of course, the grey scale delta-e is way off. Is this reduction in gamut coverage something that should be expected with a non color critical broadcast monitor, or is something funky going on?

Sorry, as we do not manufacture Displaycal we cannot comment on its level of calibration inaccuracy.

Fair enough, Steve. Let me put it this way - LightSpace DPS reports that my Dell UP2516D monitor has 99.3% gamut coverage for ITU-R BT.1886 without any LUT on it. If I were to do a 3 day rental of LightSpace LTE and create a 3D LUT for ITU-R BT.1886, would a 7% gamut reduction be an expected result (ie for a non color critical broadcast monitor)?

Impossible to answer without knowing the volumetric gamut coverage of the display.
It all depends where the 'issues' reside.
You would have to perform a full volumetric profile and see where the actual colour resides.
