It seems like it depends from model to model.

But yes it is a bit different compared to "modern" monitors like FSI or Eizo.

I think even Penta has some interesting tricks in it's workflow like uploading LUT
with FTP client.

But now i see the problem.

LVM series is multi format on set monitors. Class 1 are XVM series.
Those are totally different in calibration sense even on their website and this also explains
why the workflow is so cumbersome.

Yes for LVM and XVM I've always used a custom made USB-Serial. Is a simple usb to RS232 adaptor and then a 9pin to 9pin that goes from the adaptor into the panel. I can gives schematic if someone want to solder one for himself

LEM calibration works via USB A-A and a simple software update to Calibrator 1.6.8 R1 solved the problem. There was some misunderstanding on which version of the software to use.

Margus, Can you calibrate the LVM via i1? I tried many times and I what I know is that Calibrator support the probe but they don't shake hands apparently.

LVM (243 for me) don't support LUT Manager. I think the whole seires is made like that.

Yes i could use i1 that i got from here LS shop. Worked out instantly.

It also seems to me that LUT manager does not play with LVM series.

I already have the cable schematics and i made my "twisted pair" cables yesterday.
It worked out nicely and was super simple to do if friends with soldering iron.

I tried to connect this Tvlogic monitor models:
LVM 232 via usb _ working
LVM 246W via usb _working
this monitors cant be calibraited wit LightSpace. They just dont support 3D luts

XVM-245W i can't communicate with this monitor via any way.
RS232 to USB doesnt work
USB doesnt work ( Windows recognize monitor not as TVLogic monitor but as "CY7C68001"
I must write to Tvlogic support.

We've never had the cable pinouts...
The last cable we used was an SGI-Wacom cable, together with a null modem cable.
If I remember correctly, the SGI-Wacom cable was directional - it only worked one-way round.

Have you tried talking to TVlogic directly?

I've just found a document that seems to have the cable details...
I've added it to the TVLogic download from the Light Illusion website - download that again, and you'll find a new pdf file inside the .zip file.

Im looking for cable schematics for LVM 242W. It has different type port
But I talking with TVLogic directly now and they are very helpful.

They sent me USB drivers for XVM too so I think it will be good day...
