What Meters to Calibrate Christie 4K Projector?

Hello everyone. We have a Christie 4K projector that we use for color grading. We've outsourced our color calibration to a theater install company but we're looking to buy meters so we can do it in house more often. What meters would people recommend? Do I need both a colorimeter and spectroradiometer? We'd be using lightspace to double check the internal projector calibration and LUT creation if we decided to go down that path.

Thanks in advance,

Russ

Hi Russ,

We would indeed suggest a combination colourimeter and spectro.
The K10-A or CR-100 are the obvious colourimeters to go for.
The Spectro could be a Jeti 1501 or CR-250.
If you really want ultra accuracy, and may be looking to calibrate narrow spectrum displays (laser projection for example) a CR-300 wound be the best option.
