I just want to make sure I got this right: I need to change the video bit depth to 8 and set data levels to full in the Video Monitoring section of the Project Settings? I added a picture as an attachment. And the levels should be full even though I'm going to use legal patches from CS on a monitor set to legal?

If you want to calibrate an on-camera monitor for legal levels, it will receive from the camera or wireless transmitter a YCbCr 4:2:2 10-bit signal, so use LEGAL patchscale 8-bit in ColourSpace, Video levels in Resolve 10-bit.

If you want to calibrate a monitor for video levels, it's better to use an RGB signal, so use LEGAL 8-bit in ColourSpace, Video levels in Resolve 10-bit, and enable the SDI 4:4:4.

I'm using an HDMI cable, do I still need to check the "use 4:4:4 SDI" box?

When it's not ticked, it will send 4:2:2 from the HDMI.

When it's ticked, it will send RGB.
