I'm wondering if there has been or already is a '3 day free version' of the lightspace lut tool. But may be I've misread something.
But anyway, to use the lut tool, one could install the licence on top of lightspace dps?

There are no 'free' 3-Day licenses at all.
There are purchasable 3-Day licenses, but that doesn't include the LightSpace LUTs license.
The cheap cost of the LUTs license just doesn't make a 3-Day version viable.

You can 'swap' LightSpace licenses by following the instructions in the 'Support' pages.
