LG OLED and Klein K10-A

Klein Instruments has an interesting document on measuring OLED screens - here. There is a statement that leads me to believe normal meter profiling may not work.

"On the Sony OLED Display, it has been observed that with the Klein K10 or other CIE spec devices the white screen appears color shifted. Sony has remarked that the wavelengths emitted by the OLED are in a region where there appears to be error in the 1937 CIE curves, and to make it match a more standard display, offsets need to be subtracted from the target white spec. We are not correcting the CIE color method, and correction can be added in either the measured values or the target values. Shifting the measured values would make measurement devices inconsistent, so we are left with shifting the REC709 white point values."

There is a possibility that I'll be working on an LG OLED in about a week. I have an X-Rite i1Pro Spectro and a Klein K10-A. Klein, and LightSpace, have a Klein meter profile, Sony El OLED, but nothing for LG.

Has anyone tried using the Sony El profile for the LG?

Also, from Klein:

Measuring Sony OLED Broadcast Displays:
Measuring the Sony OLED Broadcast displays requires the use of an offset to get an accurate white point. It has been determined by Sony that the CS2000 requires an offset to accurately measure D65 on the Sony OLED's. The Klein K-Series Colorimeters use the CS2000 as a reference device, so they too need this offset. Instructions for how to deal with this offset can be found on our White Paper:

Sony OLED Display White point Correction with the Klein K10-A using the K Colorimeter Program.

Sony actually provide manual offset values for their Oleds, but they do not work at all.
See the information here:

Hi Steve & buzzard767,
what about offsets for the LG OLEDs? Which ones should I use with my i1d3? Had any luck calibrating the LG to spec?
Thanks!

With any OLED the use of 'offset' values really doesn't work.
See the information in the 'Perceptual Colour Match' page linked to above.

There has been a lot of reaserch into OLED calibration performed in the past few years, and the above page really describes the best abbroach to calibrating them.
(This ignores the issues with ABL and ASBL, which you also have to be very aware of with LG OLEDs!)
