Issue with ASUS PA32UCR Monitor Connection

I am experiencing a connection issue with my ASUS PA32UCR monitor.

To verify the communication between my monitor and computer, I installed the ASUS ProArt Calibration software and confirmed that the computer can detect the monitor.

I have also installed the ASUS-provided drivers for the monitor, but I keep getting an "unable to connect" error. Additionally, I have tried all available USB cables and ports, but the issue persists.

Do you have any suggestions to help me troubleshoot this connection issue?

There are no issues with ASUS connections, so:
What ColourSpace version are you using?
Are you running ColourSpace/connecting as an Admin?
What Win. version, etc?

Hi Steve,

I just downloaded the latest version and opened it as an administrator. Now, I can successfully connect to the PA32UCR.

Since my EIZO monitor doesn't require administrator privileges to connect, I didn't consider this as a potential issue.

The problem is now resolved, and everything is working fine.

Thank you for your quick response!

With older ColourSpace versions there as an issue with the ASUS SDK that required Admn.
ASUS fixed that with a recent update, so if you were using an old ColourSpace version that will have been the issue.
With the latest versions of ColourSpace Admin. should not be required.

I just double-checked, and I have the latest version installed (1.0.0.2090).

I still need to run it as an administrator to connect. If I try to connect in a regular user mode, it fails.

My operating system is Windows 11 24H2, and I'm connecting the monitor via USB-C.

Just sharing this information for your reference. Aside from the previous connection issue, I haven't encountered any other major problems with this new monitor.

That means there is still an issue with the ASUS SDK.
(Or possibly with your monitor firmware.)

Thank you for providing a new perspective. I checked my screen's firmware, and it matches the version indicated by ASUS—MCM105, which is the latest version for non-North American regions.

Just for your reference. If I later confirm the issue, I'll reach out for your help in fixing it.

Many thanks~

I read on their website that MCM205 is only for North American users, while MCM105 is for other regions. So, I believe I am indeed using the correct firmware version.

I also checked the firmware release dates—they were released on the same day but are intended for different regions.
