Hello everyone,
I am having significant difficulties trying to calibrate my LG OLED 42C34LA (EU model) and would greatly appreciate expert guidance. I am currently using ColourSpace HTL (Home Theater License) and a Calibrite Display Pro HL probe.
My goal is to achieve a perfect Rec. 709 calibration for SDR content on this TV.
I am struggling with the following specific points and need clear instructions:
1. TV Settings (Pre-Calibration):
What are the recommended Picture Settings (e.g., Picture Mode, Sharpness, Color Temp, Black Level, etc.) I should use before starting the profiling/calibration process in ColourSpace?
Which TV Gamma/EOTF setting (if applicable) should be selected for Rec. 709 target?
Is there a specific HDMI Input setting (e.g., PC Mode, HDMI Ultra HD Deep Color) that is mandatory or recommended for calibration?
2. ColourSpace & Configuration:
What is the optimal setup configuration in ColourSpace for this combination of LG C3 and Calibrite Display Pro HL?
What is the best Meter Profiling method to profile the Calibrite Display Pro HL with the TV for increased accuracy? (e.g., using a spectroradiometer like i1Pro 3/Plus if available, or an internal profiling method).
What are the correct Display/Connection settings (e.g., connection type, patch generator) to ensure proper communication with the LG C3's internal LUTs?
3. Measurement, Profiling, and 3D LUT Creation:
What are the recommended measurement settings (e.g., number of points, patch size) for the initial display profile?
What is the recommended 3D LUT generation strategy for Rec. 709 (e.g., LightSpace/ColourSpace suggested Matrix, size)?
What is the correct procedure for uploading the generated 3D LUT to the TV using ColourSpace's internal LG tools?
I am a beginner in this highly technical field, and I'm finding the existing comprehensive guides overwhelming. If someone could provide a step-by-step walkthrough or point me to a very specific, simplified guide relevant to the LG C3 and the Calibrite Display Pro HL, I would be extremely grateful.
Thank you in advance for your time and expertise! |
