ASUS CaliContrO MCA02 seems to have been added to the list of supported probes in ColourSpace. It's said to be compatible with OLED and capable of measuring up to 10,000 nits—has anyone tested or validated this yet?

As nearly all current displays cannot output 10,000 nits, this meter is somewhat an answer in search of a question. Given that at this price point (~$249 USD) a tradeoff for higher luminance capability is usually a decrease in low-light sensitivity, it may not actually be a good choice for use with OLED displays and their true blacks.

Thank you for the thoughtful reply — that makes a lot of sense.

I was also wondering about the MCA02's low-light sensitivity. At this price point, it seems very plausible that the extended high-luminance range could come with a tradeoff in near-black performance, which is exactly where OLED accuracy matters most (especially for true blacks and near-black shadow detail).

If anyone has done side-by-side validation (e.g., against a reference probe like an i1D3/CR-100/CR-250 or similar) on an OLED—particularly checking near-black tracking, and repeatability—I'd really appreciate hearing the results.

Thanks again for the insight.
