Hi All,

With the release of MacOS 15 apple now allows those with eligible displays such as Apple Pro Display XDR, Apple Studio Display, a 14-inch MacBook Pro (2021 or later) or a 16-inch MacBook Pro (2021 or later) to use CR-100 for their full calibration, users will have to create a correction matrix in the CRI app. This was initially reserved for high end spectros such as Photo Research: PR-740, PR-745 or PR-788. (Recommended bandwidths are 4nm or 5nm, and required apertures are 0.1, 0.125, 0.2 or 0.25.)
Colorimetry Research: CR-300 or CR-250.

I have a m3 max 16 inch MacBook and a CR-100 and CR-300RH and will be doing some testing.

Thanks all.

Aaron.

I doubt it will overcome the issues with Colorsync, and the calibration being locked to the OS, and not actually calibrating the display.
So the age-old issues with Mac and calibration will most likely remain.
It's a real shame Macs cannot work with accurately calibrated displays, independently of the OS.
