I know this is out of Light Illusions hands and I have no doubt they would love to add Sony to their direct display intergration.I have just sent the following email to Sony.

" Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this but I have some feedback that I'd love you to consider for future products.

I would like to request Sony considers opening their premium tv's like the A95L up to user 3DLUT calibration. My preference would be to use ColourSpace CMS to generate and upload the LUT but Calman would also be a good start. Ideally both software could be used. I don't know if the A95L has 3DLUT capabilities but currently if I was to buy a premium TV it would be an LG G3 as that has 3DLUT calibration capabilities.

I don't know if this will make any difference but I'm sure a lot of users here would love to be able to calibrate their high end Sony consumer TV's with a 3DLUT. Maybe if enough of us request it Sony may consider allowing us to do that and ideally using ColourSpace.

We have tried many time to communicate with Sony - both for TVs and professional monitors.
They just seem to have no interest at all...

That's really unfortunate that they won't come to the table. I'm not currently in the market for a TV at the moment but whilst LG has 3DLUT and direct ColourSpace integration, and providing they continue to do so, LG will be my 1st preference. However in some ways Sony is a better product and if they had the integration and 3DLUT capabilities they would probably be my go to 1st choice brand even over the LG.

I discovered recently on my Sony A80J that the combo of ColourSpace + PGenerator can place the display into "DV Calibrate" mode, same as an LG display.

Manual calibration of Dolby Vision in relative gamma space for the Sony greatly improved PQ Curve tracking and RGB balance once PQ EOTF processing was enabled. Dolby Vision picture quality is noticeably improved in comparison to Sony's recommended method of using calibrated SDR grayscale.

I'm guessing all Sonys with display led Dolby Vision are capable of the same.

The addition of similar ColourSpace integration functionality with Sony displays as with LG displays would be absolutely amazing.
