Not difficult to verify. Connect a probe, do probe matching, set New and put as name a name already existing for that probe.
The RGBW starts and overrides the values of the previous data set. I.e. it works the same way you select that data set and do a "Measure All".

Yes, that is expected operation, as we do not check for the Probe Match name, as it is assumed you are updating an existing, old, probe match.

Steve, if you want to do what you mentioned, you do set to the data set and do a measure all.
You say new, but it may be an update of something important to you, you lose without any chance of recovering.
In the manual it is said:
If no probe match data has been saved, the New button (available when a probe is connected) enables a name to be defined for a new probe match, and the Measure buttons can be used to profile the presently active probe. The individual << Measure buttons can be used to update each RGBW Yxy values, or the Measure All button used to update all simultaneously.
It is said "new", not "new or eventually update"
E.g. If I am doing doing a probe match for my new C3, and by mistyping I write C2 ..... My C2 profile is done!

For a 'New' match, you would enter a new name, as you would not be updating an exiting Probe Match, so there would be no existing name the same.
It is how we envisioned the naming to work.
And yes, if you do enter the same name as an existing Probe Match, even as a typo, it will replace the existing file.
Best to Export them into a backup location.

Feel free to start a WIBNI thread to request a change to the way Probe Match naming works.
