The next release of ColourSpace will have some major developments for higher license level users, aimed at increasing productivity and improving throughput.
-- Added additional Multi-Threading capability for multiple LUT Generation & Profiling
(Higher license levels)
-- Added ability to live change Colour & Camera space settings within LUT Generation
(Higher license levels)
-- Increased allowed delay to display patch colour to prevent profiling sync slip
(Will limit high demand PC processes causing Profiling sync slip)
-- Added catch for sync issues between patch display and probe reading
-- When Stabilisation & LUT Auto Save are enabled, Black is displayed at end of Characterisation
The major changes are the increased Multi-Threading capabilities, meaning higher license level users (INF/XTP/PRO/HTX/HTP) can generate multiple LUTs while profiling or performing other ColourSpace functions.
With LUT Generation the user can now click/press the Create button multiple times, with different LUT Generation settings, or open multiple LUT Generation windows simultaneously.
At the same time, multiple Profiling windows can be opened, with the ability to access exiting profiles, or perform a new Profile, while LUT Generation is occurring.
(The same restrictions on connected probes exist, as they are driver related limitations.)
Previously, if high processor demanding functions were active, it was possible for Profiling to suffer a sync slip between the displayed patch and the probe measurement. With the increased Multi-Threading, this no longer occurs, although Profiling may take longer.
(If a sync slip does occur, an error message will now be displayed signifying the profile is invalid.)
The ability to live change Colour and Camera space settings means different values can be used for any colour space or camera space, without having to modify them from within the library, and save a new space.
Combined with multi-threading, this means different LUT Generations can be quickly built, with totally different settings.
To access the Live Modify capability a Double Right Click of the Source or Destination dropdown, when displaying a colour or camera space, will open a non-modal Modify window, where any of the available parameters can be live changed, and a new LUT generated.
When the Live Modify window is closed, the Source/Destination space returns to its original selection/settings.
(New spaces can be Saved as required from the Live Modify window.)
With the already unprecedented and unmatched processing speed of ColourSpace, these new changes greatly enhance and improve productivity and throughput.
