I can only confirm that is what the probe responded with. As for what was actually in the probe only Admesy would know.

Ok, this is something completely new to me. What alternate driver? From where? I am using the NI-VISA drivers.
Do you have a Hera spectro?

From Admesy. Steve has said the driver wouldn't make a difference in any case. I have an MSE+20 colorimeter, but use the Iliad app as the meter is too old for support by CS (which does report the meter's startup settings, as Iliad does).

What was the reason that "Averaging" field which is part of the Auto-range parameters was not implemented in CS?

As far as we know, we implemented all options in the Admesy API.
We also provided Admesy a ColourSpace license for final testing.
No issues with any missing functions were raised.
I think you need to ask Admesy any such questions.

An excerpt from Hera user manual is attached.

Sorry, posting an excerpt from the Admesy manual is of no benefit, as that doesn't mean any specific function is provided for in the API.
Please ask your questions to Admesy.

Thanks for the feedback, I will contact Admesy when I gather all the info. I am waiting for feedback from other Hera users.
The API commands are listed in the Hera manual and "Averaging" is among them. Actually the Admesy colorimeters also have the same parameters on auto-range and CS has implemented "Average" when connecting colorimeters.

Regarding the Hera as reporting fw 1.28 this is from Admesy
"That seems nearly impossible, since we never made a Hera firmware 1.28. We actually stopped after 1.19, and it's already like that for many years. What is a very strong coincidence in this case is that the hyperion latest firmware is actually 1.28."

The PCM2X series of colorimeters doesn't seem to be supported? It is not listed here https://lightillusion.com/admesy_colourimeters_manual.html
The reason I am asking is that I want to order a PCM2X 270.
