I made a test. Sending full black to an EIZO CG319X with a REC709 100 nits calibration. This display usually goes as low as 0,08 nits when set to 100nits.
Hera spectro is quoted to go as low as 0,05 nits. So I am not measuring something out of specs.
In screenshot 1 you see 20 measurements with auto-range set to OFF. Of course they are all over the place in terms of luminance. What you see on the left are the Hera settings after a cold start (POWER OFF THEN ON).
In screenshot 2 you see 20 measurements with auto-range set to ON. Very stable luminance, around 0,08 nits. The only thing I changed was auto-range to ON.
SP.Int.Time is dynamically changed by the probe. I did not touch that control. But from what I see it settles to 1 sec. Actual measurement time is always 20 secs.
My observations:
' Every measurement done in Iliad, regardless of the setting of auto-range, returns a result.
This does not happen in CS, roughly below 3,5 nits.- Frequency (Hz), Adjmin (%), Max Int. Time (μSec) - this 3 parameters are not present in Iliad
