Continuing ColourSpace Development
Continuing ColourSpace development has added a host of new features and capabilities over the past year, both greatly enhancing the accuracy of of any display calibration, as well as adding totally new options.
The most obvious new feature is direct LG TV integration, enabling 1D and 3D LUTs to be directly uploaded into LG TVs with such capability.
Advanced integration of the Raspberry Pi based free PGenerator is another new development, for the first time enabling extremely low-cost Test Patch Generation for HDMI displays with 10 bit accurate profiling, as well as HDR and Dolby Vision.
With PGenerator, there is additionally an option to enable the direct use of Ted's LightSpace CMS Calibration Disc patterns for use within PGenerator, with 162 patterns available with static or flashing bars.
Another new development is the correct implementation of Extended Range display calibration (allowing the correct use of Super White). ColourSpace is the only calibration system to correctly use 100% white as the pivot-point for 109% over-range super white.
Light Illusion's continued improvements to ColourSpace's unique Colour Engine has also added further enhancements to LUT Generation, specifically improving near black results for all calibrations using 3D LUTs.
We have also added direct integration for the Qalif Spectroradiometer, a 2nm bandwidth spectro.
All new ColourSpace developments can always bee seen within the ColourSpace - New Release Changes PDF included within every new ColourSpace release software download.
The Interactive ColourSpace User Manual is always kept updated with all new developments.
Open License LightSpace HTL
As part of the End Of Life of LightSpace, we have released an open license version of LightSpace HTP.
This version can be downloaded via the General Downloads page of the website, and can be freely shared by anyone.
(Non-HTP options will just not function...)
Making this final version of LightSpace openly available without the need for a license purchase enables any Home User to experiment with LUTs, etc., before making a ColourSpace license purchase.
Obviously, LightSpace lacks the advanced features of ColourSpace, and the colour engine is nowhere near as advanced, but the results are not artificially restricted compared to the original LightSpace release.
