Great to hear when ColourSpace is working well with our partner manufacturer displays:

"I am very, very impressed with the KUM-2720QD monitor from Konvision! I was looking for a high-quality, reference-grade monitor for our color suite here in Columbus, OH, and upon receiving the monitor, I was immediately struck by the quality construction, ease of access to all buttons and I/O ports, and the subtle matte finish of the panel. The monitor works beautifully with ColourSpace CMS by Light Illusion and calibrates to the standards that I expect to see in a high-end LCD display. The benefits of the Konvision over some of its competitors are its size at twenty-seven inches and its 4K panel. Having a reference monitor that can display 4K is becoming more and more important for what I do, so thank you for making a great 4K monitor at twenty-seven inches! Overall, I am very happy with the monitor and have no issues to report. Thank you!"

Just a nice comment from a relatively new ColourSpace ZRO user:

"The combination of ColourSpaceZRO + PGenerator + Ted's Disk really is the best value for money deal out there for an enthusiast. Kudos all around."

From a discussion on attempting to calibrate LG C2 TVs for calibration/client SDR use:

"The G2 is not supported by Calman to use with internal pattern generator.
That was causing the wrong colours.
I managed to work that around with ColourSpace!"

From a Calman user that swapped to ColourSpace ZRO, in a discussion with another Calman user who has also just started using ColourSpace ZRO:

"It took a while for me to get the hang of using ColourSpace ZRO, but once I did, I've found it to be the best display calibration software I've used so far."

The key benefit of ColourSpace is it actually teaches the user about calibration, rather than trying to provide workflows that teach you nothing, as with Calman, as well as providing the ability to generate far more accurate results.

A comment from a post- production company using Calman that called in a freelance calibrator to train them on calibration.
The freelance calibrator trained them on ColourSpace:

"Wow, that is so straightforward..."

The post-production company purchased ColourSpace the next day.

From an alternative forum, when discussing the pricing and options for Calman...

"There's always the alternative, with a one-time purchase cost and free updates (as needed, not annually as seems to be the case with Portrait) for the life of the product. I still have Calman Enthusiast on my laptop, but for nearly all of my calibrations, I've moved on..."

Obviously moved on to ColourSpace

From a professional, global, Home Theatre design, calibration, and installation company:

"I want to thank you so much. It has been a slow process finding time to work with Colourspace but it is proving a godsend and the more I use it the more I love it. Especially great for MadVR which has been a nightmare for us on 'other platforms'..."

Obviously, 'other platforms' refers to Calman...

From a review of the Envy Extreme MK2 Video Processor:

"... While that was my experience utilizing Calman, my experience utilizing ColourSpace was the exact opposite. It was extremely straight forward and everything you need in terms of configuration was right there on the hardware section when connecting the Envy. I encountered no issues creating probe matches, or any issues throughout the process at all. This includes enabling and disabling LUTs, selecting slots, or uploading and renaming LUTs. Furthermore, I had the ability to do 1D+3D, Front 1D, Back 1D, 3D only, as well as LUT manipulation if needed. The 1D LUT was extremely tight and exactly what I was expecting to see."

A comment on the latest multi-threading for LUT Generation:

"... it shows more dependence on what you're generating. So if you have a say, a 13^3 profile that you're targeting in Rec709 that never took that long to begin with, but it decreases from about 11 sec to approx 5 sec, maybe 6 sec. Now if you are doing something like a large gray ramp and generating a LUT from that, then that would take around 2 mins depending on target where now it will be like 1 min 30 sec give or take a few seconds. So it seems the more complex it is the more benefit it has.

It was already faster than Calman, but now it's even more so... I had to test with Calman... and after running a 13^3, it had to compute the LUT... it took 30 mins. Absolutely ridiculous."

Note: The more CPU cores you have, the faster the LUT Generation will be...

From a display manufacturer comparing their Calman users to ColourSpace users...

"... our Calman users... are typically not as detail oriented and want a number of on-set monitors to match reasonably well...
our ColourSpace users... are typically looking for a more detailed calibration suitable for more demanding applications."

It does rather sum-up differences

From a professional calibrator, discussing his views of ColourSpace:

"ColourSpace offers all the tools required for professional calibration, and what's truly commendable is its operational flexibility, which provides advanced users with a clearer thought process.
Most crucially, ColourSpace treats all measurement values impartially, ensuring openness and transparency without any trace of bias."

From a user performing non-LUT based manual TV calibration:

"Also a Sony OLED owner. Ran a comparison in Calman between a manual calibration using my preferred software and Calman Home For Sony's Autocal.
There do seem to be some issues with Calman Autocal for certain grayscale control points. I don't remember those issues on earlier versions of Calman Home...."

The 'preferred software' could also be ColourSpace ZRO for manual calibration.
This also is something we have flagged ourselves, but have seen the same issues in earlier Calman versions: Autocal Issues.
