Hi guys,
I am a newbie on ColourSpace (1.0.0.1825) program and I am practicing with it.
Today I tested my Acer Predator X27 monitor with 512 patches, using PGenerator with TED disk, in SDR and HDR.
The SDR 3D LUT seems to me right but when I generate the HDR one, very low coverage of color space and probably I am doing something wrong.
I attach here the 2 profiles (SDR and HDR) of same monitor and I checked that PGenerator is doing correctly it job, as info displayed by monitor about the signal is confirming SDR 8 bit REC.709 and HDR 10 bit REC2020.
Anyone can gime me some hints?
Many thanks,

With the HDR profile, you are targeting the default 10,000 nits peak.
You need to make a new HDR colour space that targets the actual peak of the display, which is approx. 1,300 nits.

If you want to verify the SDR performance of the monitor, use the REC709 or sRGB preset and evaluate it.

Does the monitor have both P3D65 and REC2020 options in HDR mode?

If you want to verify the HDR performance of the monitor, modify the ST2084 colorspace and type your monitor max output nits (instead of using 10000 nits), save it, and use that custom colorspace as your target.

If you want to generate a correction 3D LUT for SDR and load it in software (madVR, Resolve, etc) or load it in an external LUT box, then you need to profile the monitor when it's working at its native gamut. Don't use REC709 or sRGB gamut options.

See if the monitor has SDR REC.2020 or P3 or Wide or Native gamut option, using grayscale with primary only measurements.

Many thanks to everyone!
I suspected on the value of peak nits and you confirm this.
I will go on practicing...
