i1Pro 3 Disconnect causes Not Responding [Fixed]

I start ColourSpace, Connect to an i1Pro 3, do the white tile calibration, and then take a set of measurements. If I then click on Disconnect for the probe, there's a reasonable probability that the app as a whole will become Not Responding. This is on Windows 10 with the 1.0.0.1582 Beta. I don't know if it happens with earlier versions.

Unable to replicate, so may be an issue with your PC configuration?
Possibly a com port issue?
Have repeatedly tested i1Pro 2 and 3, with no problem.

I've used that USB port for multiple purposes, including many thousands of measurements with other probes. I suspect there's a race condition in the code, so I'm not surprised it's hard to reproduce. I can provide a DMP file for analysis, if that would help.

There will not be any viable data with a 'not responding' situation.
We need a method to reliably replicate.

Not all bugs are reliably reproducible. This one isn't. (Which would be expected with a race condition.) It happens for me maybe 1-in-4 times. You can't get stack traces from a DMP file?

We have just been able to see this issue.
Not easily repeatable, but we will try to locate the problem.

We have not seen any issues with the i1Pro probes for a long time.
Unfortunately, this looks to be an issue with actual probe firmware/driver, in specific installations.

Just to verify, I have spend the past hour testing an i1Pro3 - It has not had a single issue.
Nothing I can do will cause a Disconnect lock-up, or any other issue.

Procedure: plug i1Pro3 into USB port, then repeat ad nauseam:
1. Reboot Windows 10
2. Start ColourSpace or CalMAN
3. Connect to i1Pro3
4. Disconnect i1Pro3

Hangs with ColourSpace: 100%
Hangs with CalMAN: 0%

As said, I have spend an hour doing repeated Connect/Disconnect...
No issues at all with my PC setup - desktop, or laptop.

I can only reliably reproduce it on the very first ColourSpace connect after a Windows reboot. If I then terminate the hung CS and start up CS again, repeated connect/disconnect works fine. And in fact, if I reboot Windows, and then first actually use (not just connect/disconnect) the i1Pro3 with CalMAN, then exit CalMAN and start CS and connect to the i1Pro3, the disconnect will still hang.

I guess that suggests an issue with the driver/initialisation.
I expect Calman is not using the same driver, as with the i1D3?
That may potentially be the underlying cause of the issue.
(We obviously do not use Calman at all.)

I have again tested the same scenario (Win11 though) and still no issues.
Also, are you using the USB cable as provided with the probe, and direct to the PC - not via a Hub?
